MissionsNOW seeks to expose and disperse the darkness by increasing the Light of Christ shining forth in the world. We believe that we can increase the Light in some of the darkest corners of the world by raising awareness and by raising up and strengthening pastors, ministers, & churches around the world. We believe our main role is to resource indeginous pastors who already know the language and the culture. We beleive nationals can penetrate into areas that would be somewhat inaccessible to foreign missionaries. For the cost of sending one missionary from the west, the church could resource 30-50 indigenous / national pastors.
According to Training Leaders International, there are approximately 5 million pastors outside of the United States (most of which live and operate on less than $2/day). The majority of these pastors have no access to theological training. This situation has been described as a "theological famine." TLI lists the following statistics on their site.
Ratio of theologically trained pastors to people in the United States: 1:230
Ratio of theologically trained pastors to people outside of the U.S.: 1:450,000
MissionsNOW beleives that the Word of God and the Holy Spirit are all that is necessary for effectiveness in ministry, however; we also believe that we are to train, help and resource church leaders if able to do so. We see Paul and others laboring to strengthen the church and its leaders throughout the New Testament. We also know from experience that church leaders and churches around the world are longing and looking for guidance and assistance in theology, church growth, and outreach.
"There is an average of 178,000 people coming to Christ daily around the world. Seven thousand new church leaders are needed daily to care for the growing church. Eight-five percent of the churches of the world are led by people who have no formal training in theology or ministry. Leaders from every non-Western region say their number one need is leadership training.” (Serving with Eyes Wide Open, David Livermore, P. 41)
MissionsNOW is committed to helping as many people as possible experience foreign missions. We do that by offering short-term trips periodically throughout the year. Short-term mission trips are often life impacting and life changing trips for those who take the step of faith to go. We encourage all who are able to join one of our teams going on a short-term trip. These trips have the potential of making and leaving a lasting impact for the gospel.

Help MissionsNOW advance and expand the Kingdom of God through prayer, donations, financial support & going.
First PRAY! One of the best things that you can do for the effort being made by missionaries, foreign mission organizations and churches is to PRAY. We know Christ is the builder of His church. However, we do know that He uses men and people to work through, furthering His Kingdom on the earth. So, PRAY for those going.
Second, DONATE BOOKS! MissionsNOW’s main focus is on resourcing indigenous pastors throughout the world. One of the ways we can do this is by supplying them with great reading and study material. MissionsNOW is looking to receive donations of Christian books, bibles, and reference materials that can be used to resource pastors and church leaders around the world. BOOK DONATIONS can be dropped off at the Church@GrandinVillage.
Third, SUPPORT FINANCIALLY! There are several ways that you can give.
Give to MissionsNOW General Fund. This account is used for everything that MissionsNOW is involved in.
Support one of the missionaries that MissionsNOW supports (ICCD, Jose & Coralia Bohorquez, GO MAD ministries). There are some who go and some who send, and both are absolutely critical to fulfilling the Great Commission.
Resource-A-Pastor. There are thousands of indigenous pastors who are living on $1-2 a day. Help us resource a pastor for a gift of $25+ a month.
Fund one of our Pastoral Resourcing Retreats or Conferences for Church Leaders. These retreats and conferences are designed to resource and refresh indeginous pastors for the work that they are giving their lives to. One of the most enjoyable things is to be used by God in the work of rekindling the flame for God and His work in the hearts of men and women who have answered the call. You can play a huge role in this by giving specifically to this effort.
* Please make sure all gifts are appropriately earmarked. All unmarked gifts will be placed into the MissionsNOW general fund.
Fourth, GO! Give by going! Is God calling you to long-term missionary work? One of the best ways to expand the Kingdom is by answering the call to GO! If you have questions regarding the call of God to missionary work, we would be glad to discuss this with you. If you feel that God may be calling you to long-term missionary work, we would love to sit down, discuss and pray with you about going.
